My history with reading

I was never much of a reader as a child and this continued through my 20s and early 30s. My wife on the other hand reads continuously and I never could understand how she could possibly read so much. Then I faced a dilemma, in early 2000 the SyFy channel made a mini-series based on the book Dune. I watched the movie and found that it differed significantly from the original 1984 Dune movie which I always enjoyed watching. I was now wondering which one reflected the original story created by Frank Hebert. My next vacation I bought the book and read it. That was it I was hooked and have become an avid reader myself ever since.

Unfortunately school did not foster for me a love of reading as I was prescribed reading specific books that never grabbed my interest and it was almost treated as a punishment. It took me until I was in my 30s to realize I could read what I wanted when I wanted. This revelation has changed my life. Now I predominately read Science Fiction, Business, and Personal Development books. If interested please follow me on goodreads.

In early 2017 I finally took a step I never thought I would ever do and authored my first book Kali Linux Cookbook - Second Edition. I am currently preparing work on my second book which will be announced as I am further along with it.

Here are some of my favorite picks;
Business/Personal Development
Science Fiction
